CHS
2005 -- one of our classmates, Phillip
Clark passed away yesterday in a rock climbing
accident. His brother Chris had posted the news on Facebook and
said their family wanted people who knew him to know of the news.
Sorry for the bad news but thought this would be the best way
to inform most of the class. Please keep the family in your thoughts
and prayers. -- 5/28/2018

Ted's
Game Plan: I've been trying to work off
the back load of news in order, but will break from that and start
now on the CHS Graduation photo sample page. Will then build June's
calendar before jumping back in sequence to about May 10th where
I left off. Only when I catch up (which will speed up with school
out), I will then start back on 2018 senior pages which have not
been touched in months. Also note there will be no 2019 or beyond
senior pages. -- Ted Wright 5/22/2018 |

If my quick math is correct ... today is the 119th
anniversary of the first issue of "The Collinsville News"
printed by W. L. Wright at the original Collinsville town site (May
11, 1899). The newspaper was published for it's first 88 years by
4 generations of the Wright family. The paper was sold in 1987 and
continued into it's 115th year before publication ceased. If you
add 15+ years of my cvilleok.com web site, the Wright family has
documented the history of Collinsville for more than a century.
