CHS Baseball At State
Collinsville Lost 1-3 To El Reno In Opening Round
At Broken Arrow
Hayden Minton pitched well but a couple of errors and a shortage of timely hits ended the Cardinals season after just one game in the 5A 2018 state tournament.
El Reno thought they had a triple on this hit but the Collinsville defense threw him at at 3rd base (below).
Collinsville had a promising 7th inning start (trailing 0-3) after getting the first two men on base with no outs, but had runner thrown out at the plate on an infield chopper. Collinsville finally got a run across (below) but strikeouts ended the rally.
