ALL FAMILIES from our community with children Kindergarten and under are invited to attend this fun event!! -- I want to invite people to our Current Church event. --

My name is Jim Carney

I lead a group of people that gather every week and we all have at least one thing in common. We all believe we are truly living because we have put our trust in a “living” God.

I am the most unlikely person to head up this group. I do not have a Phd in theology. My past could be summarized by these descriptors:

unwanted pregnancy
ward of the state
red headed stepchild
physically, psychologically, and sexually abused child
juvenile delinquent
repeat offender

All the previous identities eventually lost their ability to control my life because of the last one. I not only believe that Jesus died to forgive sin, I believe He has forgiven me and now reveals His love and commitment to me, over and over again.

That’s what this group has in common. We are all forgiven and we choose to live our lives following as best we know how, a risen Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus died for you as well. Want to learn more about our story? Come check it out this week at the Collinsville Middle School at 10:30-11:45 am. We will have a luncheon and egg hunt afterward at our campus 14133 N 155th E Ave.

Hope to see you there,

Jim Carney (3/30/2015)

I've been making steady progress on the 2015 Senior pages in past few weeks, but have months more work to do before they go online in May 2015. -- 1/23/2015 -- [Update: prrogess has been slow the past few weeks -- Ted 2/9/2015] -- {3/29/2015: Barely any progress in past 3 weeks and taxes will be top priority for awhile ... so May 1st deadline will be tough]
