| Note: As of today, I am done trying to recover the 3 weeks of news I missed in November and will get back to the "normal" backlog of December news. A big thank you to Norman Van Sickle for the use of his November photos. And just a heads-up moving forward: I will not even attempt elementary basketball coverage (again) this year and will have reduced coverage for JrHi/HS basketball & wrestling. I finally gave up trying to get 2016 elementary football team photos & rosters (from August) online. I will try to have 2017 graduate pages sometime in June ... but have decided this will be the "LAST" set. Sorry for CHS 2018 and beyond ... but I am years behind on much of my other work (Newspaper Museum, photo archiving, etc) and that call is long over due. I also have new Twitter and Instagram duties contributing to these decisions. And while Facebook continues to be a rich news source ... it is an even bigger time waster. -- Ted Wright 12/13/2016 |

I have a student, Suzannah Fry, that lost a sister in a car accident this past Friday. Hosanna was 21 years old. Her parents are Doug and Vikki Fry. Doug is a UPS driver and delivers to our schools. I wanted to share this information in case any of you know Doug or any of their family. They are a very sweet family. Funeral services are being held this Wednesday the 14th at 1:00 pm. The service is taking place at Friendship Baptist Church located on 86th Street in Owasso. Burial is at a small country cemetery on old Hwy 88 between Oologah and Claremore. -- Libby Jennings 12/12/016 |
