School Menus posted along with preliminary
info on "many
exciting changes in the Child Nutrition Program. This
next school year you will find new menus and new recipes rich in
a variety of whole grains, fruits and vegetables. You will also
see the new smart snack rules implemented in the middle and high
school snack bars. The new rules set limits on the amount of calories,
fat, sugar and salt per serving while encouraging the consumption
of dairy, whole grains, lean protein, fruit, and vegetables. You
will still find many of your familiar brand name products you have
enjoyed in the past and you may even find some new favorites to
enjoy. High school students will enjoy the addition of a new coffee
machine that offers a variety of low calorie coffee products."

From
what I can piece together ... the reason I could not find information
on Blake Unger's death is that he is listed as Kenneth
Kaiser (Claremore) in the OKC
shooting story NewsOn6 July 17th and in Tulsa
World 7/21 death notices as Blake Kaiser (Owasso). Mowery
Funeral is listed in some info as where the funeral was held today
(July 22nd) but I can't find him on Mowery's
site under any of those names. -- Ted Wright 7/22/2014 5:15pm
-- [I received a confirmation that the funeral was indeed July
22nd and that the name of the 24 year old CHS
2009 graduate was Kenneth Blake Kaiser -- 7/23] |

FYI
-- I had the phone (371-1901) at the Newspaper
Museum disconnected today. I had been pondering that
change for over a year as I am rarely there and was getting mostly
"junk" calls on the message recorder anyway. A 60% jump
in this month's AT&T bill made it an easy decision. I will update
a few key pages to remove that number online ... I've been posting
it less in anticipation of this day ... but it will remain on 1000's
of older cvilleok pages from the past 11+ years. Email has always
been the best tool for me anyway (wrightted@aol.com
or twright@collinsville.k12.ok.us).
And I rarely post my cell phone online (918-798-1804) as I don't
want all the "junk" calls there that come from internet
search/solitations. -- Ted Wright -- June 30, 2014 |
