Football Report / Public Works / Pharmacy Milestone |
I
received a viewer comment today regarding last year's homecoming
parade where a specific youth football team was throwing hard candy
at young kids rather than tossing gently as requested in parade
guidelines. I would recommend that anyone witnessing that type of
behaviour immediately report it to the high school administration
(and in this case also the youth football organization) and any
other organization that might be involved. This is supposed to be
a fun event and there is no need for anyone to get hurt. My own
personal suggestion would be to remove the candy tossing completely
to reduce the potential for younger kids darting back and forth
so close to the motorized parade vehicles. -- Ted Wright 9/21/2010
