Black Jack Buck
Hi Ted,

This picture was taken behind our neighbors' house (Mel & Dona Lowe) on the corner of Black Jack Lane & Court. We have seen several deer in the evenings but were suprised at the size of this deer in the city limits!

(I know you are swamped with news and sports coverage...if you don't have time to post it's no big deal.)

WiNUP Donation To Ward-Wiseman Animal Haven

The oversized check said $500 at a small ceremony Sept. 15th at the Ward-Wiseman Animal Haven, but the presentors surprised WWAH officias with an additional $550 in checks plus a pile of donated animal food and supplies. The donations were collected at Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) by WiNUP (Women's International Network of Utility Professionals).

The group at PSO had been collecting donations for WWAH over the past month and it was apparently one of the most successful donation drives ever at PSO because of people's passion for our cause. The donation drive was dubbed, "Paws 4 a Cause" and was advertised with posters in their downtown office according to Tracy Ballard Freeman of PSO. Tracy Baldwin (WWAH President) accepted the donations. -- www.wwahonline.org

Trot Thru the Bible” at Faith Fellowship Church

Faith Fellowship Church, Collinsville, OK is host to a “Trot Thru the Bible” Seminar on Monday, September 27, at 7 pm. The event will be held in the Family Life Center. Nursery will be provided. The public is invited to attend. As you enter the building, you may also sign up for a door prize to be given away.

“Trot Thru the Bible” is a panoramic overview of the storyline of the Bible in 90 minutes. The seminar is broken into two segments, approximately 45 minutes each, with a brief intermission between them. The seminar includes a live presentation, illustrated with power point slides. The first session covers Creation up to the Divided Kingdom. The second segment picks up with the Prophets, and also covers the Gospels, Paul’s Epistles, and the writings of the other New Testament authors. The seminar ends with a synthesizing statement that ties the entire Bible together.

Dr. James Tollett is your guide for this event. Tollett has over 40 years preaching experience, and three decades of experience teaching as a professor at Oral Roberts University. He is a sought-after revivalist and conference speaker. He contributed the study notes for the Book of Exodus in the Spirit Filled Life Bible. His presentations are fast-paced, educational and, at times, humorous.

Faith Fellowship Church is located on old Highway 169 in Collinsville. For directions to the church, go to www.jtmin.org/faithfellowship.html. Admission to the event is free. A love offering will be taken. For more information contact the pastor of Faith Fellowship, Rev. Kelvin Limbocker at 918-371-2996.

Did You Notice?
With Dana Howard's (real) deer photo above, I'm prompted to ask if anyone noticed the deer (statue) in the background of any of my recent softball photos. It catches my eye every so often and I have to watch a few seconds to see if it moves. (Note: Not to be confused with the cows that wander through that same view during most games). -- Ted
