Coach Redding's Report -- received 9/17/2010
Jr Hi CARDINAL FOOTBALL REPORT
September 20-24th

If you are a football fan, Sallee Field was the place to be Thursday night. The 7th grade (2-0) and 9th grade Cardinals (1-1) blew out the Tulsa Kelley Comets tail. The Cardinal offense displayed a great running attack while the defense blasted the Comets out of orbit. Both teams controlled the line of scrimmage all night and dominated the kicking game. The 7th grade score, 12-0. The 9th grade score 19-7. There were no injuries reported.
The 8thgrade Cardinals (1-1) were plagued with injuries and “big plays” as the defense could not stop the Comets in critical situations. Comets win 36-0. The Coaches believe the 8th grade will “fight back” this next week.

Monday night the 7th grade “Blue” will play Oologah’s 7th grade at Oologah before the Junior Varsity game. Game time is 5:30. The JV will play at 6:30.
We have 53,7th grade players and 45,8th grade players. It is very difficult to play this many players in a game with 7&8 minute quarters. Every player that attends practice deserves an opportunity to have playing time. These “B” game give us that opportunity.

This Thursday we travel to Tahlequah. The High School address is 591 Pendleton St. The Jr Hi and JV field is at the high school. The 7th grade plays at 5:00. The 7th and 8th grade will leave at 3:00 from the dressing room. We will provide transportation from the Middle School to the dressing room after school. The 9th grade will leave at 4:45 from the dressing room. The 7th and 8th grade will return after the 8th grade game. We should be back around 9:00. The 9th grade should return around 11:00.

Practice schedule for the week of September 20th.
The freshmen will practice every day, 2:00-4:00.
Monday, Oologah “Blue” game 5:30 @ Oologah
Tuesday, RED Team 3:00-5:00
Wednesday, RED Team 3:00-5:00
Thursday, @ Tahlequah 5:00
Friday, No Practice after school

The Bishop Kelly 7th Graders had the opening possession start at their own 25 following the Collinsville kickoff Thursday. After a holding penalty and two tackles for losses by the Cardinals, BK attempted a punt from the 5 yard line. These two photos show the hit in the endzone and then the recovery of a fumble by Roc Robbins (#45) for the first six points of the game.

Marcus Tillman (#24) scored on a 4-yard run in the 2nd half.
