Lee "Picko" Blunt was born in Collinsville on April 21, 1931,

The
CHS baseball team beat Victory Christian twice Thursday (April 24th) to win the
District Tournament here. Collinsville is in the running to host a Regional here
next week but likely won't find out for sure until Monday as some District games
may not complete until then due to rain delays. Superintendent Pat Herald wanted
me to commend the CHS coaches and players for their outstanding work to get the
Collinsville field playable Thursday following the heavy rain the day before.
That effort included dragging the dirt areas multiple times by manual labor while
the small tractor kept getting stuck in the mud. -- Ted Wright 4/25/2008 (check

NOTICE ABOUT ICE STORM DEBRIS
-- April 24, 2008 -- (From The City of Collinsville, Bob Wolfram) On April
21st the City Commission approved a brush clean-up bid from Crowder Disaster Recovery.
Crowder will be cleaning all vegetative storm debris placed on our city street
right of way as well as City Park. There
will be 2 passes of the entire city. You must have trees and limbs placed at
curbside by May 1 and again by May 12. Once the first and second passes are
completed there will be no further pickups. IT
IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE ALL VEGETATIVE DEBRIS AT CURBSIDE ON MAY 1st AND AGAIN ON
MAY 12th IF NEEDED. NO DEBRIS WILL BE REMOVED FROM PRIVATE PROPERTY Following
the two passes the City Brush Pit at 156th St. N. will be closed on or about May
19, until further notice, to dispose of the storm debris. |
The
CHS boys varsity soccer team will go to Booker T. Washington on Tuesday,

The
CHS Golf girls placed 2nd in regionals with a team score of 376. They were
only 7 strokes from first place! Brittni Schmauss shot an 88, Emilee Richburg
shot a 94, Katelin Moore and Paige DeLozier both shot a 97 and Amy Garrett shot
a 100. Brittni got 3rd individually. The team will travel to OKC, Lake Hefner
golf course and play 18 holes on Wed and 18 holes on Thursday. We are very proud

Wanted to let you know that sometime after 9.30 PM on Monday April 21 our new
concession stand building was broken into and torn up. They came in on foot so
its somebody that lives close to there, We worked so hard and spent a lot of money
to make this nice for the kids and people come in there and tear stuff up. We
are however offering a CASH reward for information leading to the arrest of these
thefts. There has been a police report filed and we are and will press charges
on these individuals. Any body with information should contact the Collinsville

ensemble. The band recieved straight 1's and 4 soloists recieved 1's also. They

Collinsville 6th grade beginner band attended their first contest today in Catoosa.
They played two pieces and were awarded straight 1's by all the judges! We are
very proud of them and all the hard work they have done preparing for this contest!

Siren Testing: Starting this Wednesday with tornado season being upon us again
the Collinsville Fire Department will be testing the tornado sirens every other

... due to the Chief being tied up in a class and the cloudy conditions. They

April 20th, at the Lanes at Coffee Creek in Owasso. Between 3 and 6, if people

Treiton Mahashka Carpenter (October 30, 2001 - April 2, 2008). Treiton
died after a strong fight with cancer. He was 6. He was diagnosed with
Neuroblastoma, a solid tumor cancer, on July 23, 2006. He lived in the Collinsville
area since birth, but spent a lot of time at St. Judes Hospital in Memphis,

post a lost family pet on your website? I would greatly appreciate it. I know
your site gets alot of attention. Our dog has been missing since March 23rd.
His name is Poco. He is a 6 yr old male Lab/beadle mix. He is white with light
tan/yellow markings on his ears and back. Poco is a much loved family pet and
is wonderful with children. Poco was last seen Sun, March 23rd near road NS 406
which is west of Oologah. If anyone has seen him or has any information please

The
CHS girls golf team played in the Cushing Tourn. on Monday. They had several rain
delays and didn't do as good as they would've liked but did tie for 6th out of
14 teams. This was a tough tournament with alot of 5A and 6A schools. Their next
