Back To The Future: Lance West was the head CHS Football Coach in this 1999 football program photo. The coaches that year were (L-R): Cory Slagle, John Benham, Leon Hadley, Kelly Anderson, Lance West, Rusty Poindexter, John Hall, Tom Benham and Mike Henry. West was rehired April 7, 2008 to lead the Collinsville Football Cardinals again in 2008. (See item 18 below)

17) Vote to approve Superintendent's recommendation to Employ or Not Re-Employ Certified personnel for 2008-2009 school year. -- Certified personnel rehired but 23 on temporary contracts were on hold pending budget confusion created by Oklahoma legislators missing the April 1st deadline for school funding (again) with schools required by law to declare their re-employments by April 10th.

--d) High School Football Coach: Lance West was approved as the "new" CHS head football coach. West had been the head football coach here previously for 5 years and an assistant for another year. He had been out of the Collinsville School system for 7 years. He is currently athletic director at Claremore Sequoyah and had been at the Justice schools before that. West was head football coach in Collinsville for the 1996 - 2000 seasons. Rusty Poindexter was CHS head coach from 2001-2003 followed by Bob Craig 2004-2007.
