I am Gloria Thomason and I and my neighbors have called the police several times
to patrol our children's bus stop at 19th Street and Union Place in the mornings.
They have not shown up yet. Cars come over the hill on 19th at well over the speed
limit and there are 11 children waiting to catch the bus. Just one slight move
of a steering wheel or a child too close to the road can result in a terrible
accident. We can only pray this doesn't happen. The city could be looking at a
lawsuit for lack of protection in an accident case. We parents and grandparents
are at the bus stop also to keep an eye on our children but that doesn't slow
down the cars. |
