Phillip Kolosha (#77) sacked Hilldale's QB (with another Cardinal fighting through a double team to help) on Hilldale's 2nd offensive play of the game. There was also a declined holding penalty of the play.
Shane Douglas (#9) pitched to Merin Oakley (#30) behind the block of another Cardinal on Collinsville's first offensive play in the 1st quarter.
Tyler Lowe (#22) timed his leap and knocked this long high Hilldale pass away from a taller receiver. This came after a muffed punt gave Hilldale the ball at Collinsville's 26 yard line early in the 1st quarter. Jayce Crowder made the first stop for a loss followed by a Jacob Smith tackle for a loss. The 4th and 18 Hilldale attempt resulted in a sack by the Cardinal defense giving the ball back to the Collinsville offense at their own 42.
After taking over on downs late in the first quarter Collinsville started a drive with this swing pass to Merin Oakley to near mid field.
Shane Douglas (#9) has just gotten off a pass that Will Wood made a diving catch on to reach Hilldale's 23 yard line. The Cards reached Hilldale's 14 a few plays later before losing a fumble with about 20 seconds left in the 1st quarter.
On the firat play of the second quarter Hilldale moved from their own 29 to Collinsville's 17 on this long pass play with Tyler Lowe (#22) making the stop. Hilldale scored 4 plays later and kicked the extra point for a 0-7 lead with 9:16 left in the first half.
Antwan Colbert (#40) carried down to Hilldale's 36 yard line as the Cardinals drove following Hilldale's score. A motion penalty and a sack (with Bryce Tole injured) stalled the drive.
