We are in need of a volunteer to step up and take the Band Booster President position for the upcoming school year. In order to serve in this office you must have a student in the Band program as well as be an active and current member of the Band Booster organization for a minimum of three months.

What does a Band Booster President do? (Taken from our By Laws)

"The President shall: 1) preside over all meetings of the Collinsville Band Boosters Organization and the Executive Board, 2) appoint committee chaipersons when needed, 3)supervise the work of other officers and committees, 4) represent the Collinsville Band Boosters, 5) shall prepare a printed agenda for all regular monthly meetings for each attendee, 6) sign checks as needed in the absence of the Treasurer".

Our next Booster meeting will be held on July 29th at 7 pm in the Band Room. We hope to elect a President at this meeting. If you would like to be considered as a nominee for this position please contact our Vice President Christina Raley by email at jctkraley@att.net or the Secretary, Erica Caputo at erica@dccomp.net.

We have also secured the Gym located across from the football field for our Annual Garage Sale on Aug. 9th. Please get the word out that the Boosters will be accepting donations for the sale on Friday, Aug. 8th from 5 pm to 8 pm. The Garage Sale will begin at 7 am and go until about 3 pm, on that Saturday. If you would like to volunteer for one of these time frames please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Sandra Green at 918-951-2801. We are also planning a Car Wash fundraiser that same day (Aug. 9th) to be held at German Corner. When the location has been secured we will begin accepting volunteers for that fundraiser as well.

You are also welcome to renew your Booster membership at any time. Enclosed is the form you may print off and return to the Secretary at your earliest convenience.

We hope to see you at our next meeting on July 29th. Thank you for your continued support of the Collinsville Band Program.

Erica Caputo (7/14/2014)
