5. Building Site Reports -- The building principals
reported on activities at their campuses and several JrHi students demonstrated
STEM projects (see photos o the right). The principals also announced
their new "Teachers of the Year" -
The new set
of Collinsville "Teachers of the Year" was announced
informally today. It will be closer to February before photos and
bios will be available for the formal announcement. Early congratulations

6. Discussion and
Vote to Approve Changes to the Board of Education Policy Book. --
Approved -- changes to 3 policies relating
to helath for student athletes (4.49), concussions (4.50) and drug/alcohol
policies. Plus first read only for CNP
meal charges (just had procedures before but written policies required
in 2017).
7. Discussion and Vote to Approve the AIDS Curriculum and Update for
the 2017 School Year. -- Approved --
same as previous years but will split the 7th grade boys & girls
for the presentation this year. -- (Notice)
8. Discussion and Vote to Approve Board Meeting Dates for the Calendar
Year 2017. -- Approved
9. Proposed Executive Session to Discuss Resignations, Hiring of Personnel
Pursuant to 25-OS ss 307(B)(1) of the Open Meeting Law, so the the Board
May Return to Open Session and vote to Accept or not Accept Resignation

* Finances -- outstanding staff & teachers continue to excel despite
less financial support
* Student totals up about 80
* Lawn maintainance bidding options (hire -vs- contract) ... workers
comp costs improved
* High school roof - have architect drawings to add slope to older sections
* Baseball building add-on for additional lockers (30x32 room + toilets/showers)
* Replaced rest of plastic seats at MS gym (Jamie Wilson) ... with wood
* Replacing
Andrea Reser as CNP Director still in process (she will be teaching
at NSU instead) ... but might continue as part time consultant - approved
under new business later. Likely contracting out role eventually but
lengthy process to get approval. Have a good CNP staff now ...don't
want them to lose benefits.

* Nate Sinni sang National Anthem at OSU-TU basketball game
* $2300 raised by Herald with "Bedlam" fundraisers
* Tulsa Tech approved Pre-Engineering class at
Collinsville for next year
18. New Business -- Approved part-time
consultant role for CNP director ... instead of resignation at end of
2016 (Andreas Reser)
