Results:
* The board was using their new "paper-less" board meet tracking software for the first time (backed up with lots of paper) ... after a pre-meeting training session.

* All members were present: Stout, Ostrander, Johnson, Morrison, & Reed
* No requests to address board
* Consent agenda approved
5) Hamlin Test Report
-- Reports follow specific classes thru different years
--- Overall good results for this year (20.8 with all students taking ACT)
--- 10th graders will take pre-ACT Oct. 11th
6) Reading Sufficiency Plan -- approved -- no 3rd graders retained
7) Lease purchase agreement approved. $245K for 4 years
--- $100K technology - Chronebooks & carts for secondary - stay in classroom, 40 new projectors, 40 speaker units
--- Transportation -- several used vehicles including air conditioned 42-passender activity bus, vans, 16 passenger and 28 passenger
8) Approved basis contract agreement to replace (at no cost other than $3K attorney fees) the field turf at Sallee Field as a warranty issue. Might start Dec. 8th weather permitting. Will add painted soccer lines this time for $7K
9-12) no executive session
13) Resignation accepted (health issue)
14) 2 hires approved

15) Building site reports:
* Arlin Stacy/CUE (2nd year) -- Theme for year "Power of Words" ..being positive
-- DUE the CUE activities - building relations with students first full day
* Jennipher Keim/Alternative -- 2nd year at Wilson - 1st block alternative competed - starting 2nd block -- art classes once a week -- Ganzel science hands-on -- waiting list with 15 max in class
* Jennipher Keim/6th Center -- STEM Space / hover crafts 7 sec. / book fair / Red River / 1st dance Oct. 21
* Dale Harp/CMS -- 2nd year going well - closed book fair - great volunteers - kids turning in lost stuff - fall sports wrapping up - JrHi band at football - 7th-8th Ag to Fair - DEA/DARE talk coming in science class - STEM kids never late to class ... two 8th grade and one 7th grade STEM classes
* Scott Kiker/CHS - Staff development day Google Sites training ... hope to use in classroom - Chromebooks and "1 to Stay" planning - 2 National Merit scholar semi-finalists (Duncan & Wilson) - Pre-ACT - Band 2nd at Bixby - US Army presentation Levi Draper - Homecoming week-long activities - Paige Bargas hype video for football excellent - 9th grader Daniel Malon at St. Jude ... "Lean On Me video" by student volunteers - Blood drive 110 kids donated (75 units will go directly for Daniel)

16) Directors:

* Reser - Excited in CNP with 6% increase in meals served - Chef grants at secondary - finishing Herald chef grant (rainbow/okra examples)
* Myers - none
* Riley - announcements later

17) Lance West Report:
* OSSBA region 4 meet soon
* current enrollment (last Thursday) 27,093 total ... up 82 kids
* kindergarten is largest class with 233
* 1st quarter finances - revenue down 6% - expenses down 3% ... should improve
* $15.3 million expenses expected for year
* Looking ahead to potential future building projects
--- Add slope to flat portion of HS roof $18K architect
--- 2 lane road from CUe to 126th St. North for additional traffic flow options
--- 3 HS baseball teams ... need more lockers (70 kids with 45 lockers) ...booster help to expand building ($3K drawing)

* Education Foundationwill raffle a Mazda car $15&$20 tickets - Dec 10 winner

Mercedeez Collins (CHS Senior) went into cardiac arrest after Tulsa state fair.. incoma since then (Oct. 1st)
* CUE McTeachr NIght Oct. 4th
* Simple Simon fund raiser for Daniel Malon tonight

19) New Business -- approved paragraph 6.5 noon duty wording cleanup in board policy for certified teachers
