| Ina Gibson, Teen
Librarian, dresses Sir Read-A-Lot for each season and event at The Collinsville
Library. During Hogs and Hot Rods Ina and Sir Ral had a teen summer reading
sign up on the front lawn of the Library...Sir Read-A-lot is dressed for
his Route 66 vacation. To date 157 teens are participating in the Teen
Summer Reading Program. Each will have a chance for great prizes drawn
in August and a weekly opportunity to win a $5 gift certificate from Quick
Trip. The best perk of all is....we waive your fines so you have a clean record. To be qualified as a teen you need to have completed 6th grade. The summer reading program for teens and children will continue through August 11, 2007. -- Dr. Susan Babbitt |

Library
Will Be
Closed Oct. 14-18 Volunteers Requested |
| We
are going to need volunteers to help us put a new sticker on all the materials
in the Library...it is very easy but takes time. We are closing the library
the week of October 14-18 to do this...would you want to help us... we
will start about 9 each morning and go until 5 ...we may do an evening
shift as well...not sure yet...we will need at least 5 volunteers a time
slot per day day to help us...as we work in teams...volunteer and staff
person. You are more than welcome to work more than one day or time slot...
:-) Team Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday October 14-18 Team times: (9-1:00) & (1:00-5:00) & (5:00-8:00) You might see if you have friends who would like to help as well...we will have coffee, tea and some type of goodies to munch. Probably lots of laughter and commentary. If anyone interested could send me their name, days of preference and time of preference we could build a schedule. You are going to love this new system for your beautiful CV Library. Many thanks, Susan Babbitt (8/29/2008) |
