Ted,
I thought you might be interested in this picture taken of the boys 3200 relay team after they finished their race (at the State Track Meet at Moore). They finished in 8th place, which is better than their 11th ranking going into it!
As I understand it, this is the first boys event to go to state for a number of years so we should be very proud of these young men. From left to right they are: David Richardson, Dalton Rasmussen, Jamero Oakley and Steven Puckett. I was also there to see the Collinsville Girls 3200 relay team earn a 6th place finish. Sorry but I don't have names or pics of that tho.
Keep up the great work!! -- Darla Rasmussen (5/4/2007)
The CHS Senior Luau will be Monday May 14th, following the (9am) Senior Awards Assembly.
Mr. Wright,
I wanted to let you know that on Wednesday, May 16, the Herald Elem. third graders will be visiting the Morrow Historical Homeplace located at 126th and just west of Hwy 169. Kathleen Morrow will be visiting from Texas to give historical information related to the homesite. In conjunction with the Oklahoma Centennial, third graders will be learning about what life was like 100 years ago on the prairie. Ms. Morrow will provide pictures for the students to view. Also, the students will have the opportunity to plant vegetables in the gardens on the homesite grounds. From noon until the end of the school day, a representative from Ag in the Classroom will join us and the students will visit different stations to learn about the many agricultural commodities our state provides to the economy. Students will be learning the techniques for milking a cow, they will learn how to herd pigs, and how to sow seeds. This will be a very valuable learning experience for the students and will provide them with a hands-on approach to the history of their community.
Thank you,
Cheryl Meyer
