Ramsey Keim was named the 2019 Football Homecoming Queen and Brayden Burd was selected as Homecoming King during the pre-game coronation.
Claremore had already scored on their first possession (for a touchdown lead at 7:32 in the 1st quarter) then intercepted this Weathers' pass on the Cardinal's third possession and returned it to the Cards 17. Claremore eventually turned the ball over on downs early in the second quarter.
A 2nd quarter Jake Bays punt pinned Claremore at the 4 yard line (then the 2 with a penalty). The Cardinal defense kept them there forcing this Claremore punt from the end zone which Eli Benham caught at the 40 yard line setting up Collinsville's first score.
Collinsville faced 4th and 12 from the Claremore 30 when Kolten Allphin (#1) launched this pass toward Gage Tacker (below).
Gage Tacker (#84) caught this 30 yard 4th down touchdown pass with 4:44 left in the 2nd quarter and after Ashton's extra point kick the score was tied 7-7.
Despite the Cardinal defense Claremore scored with just 3 seconds left before half-time to take a 7-14 lead into the locker room.
Jaren Seabolt (#11) scored on this 40 yard run at 5:49 in the 3rd quarter which tied the score at 14-all after Jones' PAT kick. This was the Cardinals' second possession in the second half.
Kolten Allphin (#1) put Collinsville in the lead with this 3 yard keeper with 1:15 left in the 3rd quarter. Ashton Jones' extra point kick put the score at 21-14.
Caden Buoy (#4) made the stop on this flying Zebra.
Eli Benham (#10) fielded this Claremore punt at the Collinsville 22 yard line early in the fourth quarter.
Brayden Gilkey (#42) carried from the 22 into Claremore territory at the 42 but the drive stalled leading to the Jake Bays punt below.
Taylor Olinghouse (#20) was barely able to stop his momentum after chasing the Collinsville punt down to the one yard line.
QB Kolten Allphin (#1) appeared to be boxed in early in this 4th quarter run but broke free for a 56 yard touchdown run with 4:13 left in the game. A Jones extra point kick put Collinsville up 28-14. Claremore scored on their next possession and missed their extra point leaving the Cards up by eight points (28-20) with 2:15 left in the game. Eli Benham covered the Zebra onside kick and Collinsville ran out the clock for an important district win and a 3-1 season record.
Gage Tacker (#84)
