Board discussed plans for this August when the Collinsville Tri-County
Fair will celebrate it's 75th Anniversary. Board members also gave a history
and some of their own memories of past Fairs including: * Dairy Shows in the "Dairy Capital of Oklahoma" * Performance by Johnny Lee Wills * Barns built in 1947 * Greased pole for $20 reward at top * School Bus brought students to Fair * Horse Shows / Carnivals / Parades / Antiques/ Canned Goods & Crafts / Talent Shows * Learning experience for FFA/4-H students before County & State Fairs * Many long-time volunteers and board members * ... The local Collinville fair has been primarily livestock shows in recent years ... but several traditional activities are expected to return for the planned week-long big celebration this August 15-22, 2020. The Collinsville Tri-County Fair is one of Oklahoma's oldest community fairs. |
