Collinsville Eliminated By Altus In 5A Opening Round At Shawnee
For the first time since Weston Harding became the head coach of Collinsville's HS wrestlers (in August 2010) he and the Cardinals will not be in the Oklahoma 5A Dual State Finals. Harding's teams won the top trophy his first 5 years (2011-2012-2013-2014-2015), then runners-up the next 2 years (2016-2017). The Cardinals (lacking several wrestlers in the heavier weights all year) fell earlier today to Altus in the opening round (2018). They will still be in the hunt for the individual scored state championship in 2 weeks.

Back to back for Mac! The MacArthur Highlanders beat Skiatook 35-18 to win their second consecutive team dual state title.

Lawton Mac 38, Piedmont 29 (Mac got all the points they needed then forfeited the last 3 weights to get it over with)
Skiatook 42, Altus 30 (Skiatook has never reached the Dual State finals)

Altus eliminates Collinsville in the 5A quarterfinals, 36-33. Came down to the final bout, 138 pounds, where Xavear Cullors came back from 6-2 but lost 7-6 -- Christian Favalora

Collinsville wrestlers will take on Altus in the first round of Dual State at Shawnee Friday Feb. 9th at 2pm. If they advance, they wrestle again Sat. at noon. Finals are 6:30pm Sat.
