against Durant in the 5A semifinals Gail Young was back in the pitching
circle again following her Thursday victory over El Reno. Ravyn Murphy
was on 2nd and Loren Meza was in right field.

| The Collinsville dugout and rally caps were working hard but the Lady Cards couldn't come up with a run after the 6th inning. I show 13 Collinsville "pop ups" in my unofficial notes in their 33 at bats - a credit to Durant's pitcher. | Durant started their half of the 11th with a double and 3 batters later a two-out RBI single gave them the lead at 3-4. Collinsville couldn't match the score in the home half of the 11th and their change of repeating was ended. | ||||||||||||||||||||
|
The
following day, Pryor (our district rival who Collinsville had beaten
twice this year and in last year's state final) crushed Durant 14-3
in the finals for the 2016 5A State Softball Title.
