11 Inning 3-4 Loss to Durant In Semifinals
Ravyn Murpy scored the first Collinsville against El Reno run in the first inning on a Rylee Delozier double in the first day at the state tournament in OKC Thursday.
Collinsville finished Thurday with an 8-3 final over El Reno to advance to the Friday noon game.

Friday: Durant scored two runs in the first inning on a single, a bunt single, a single to the fence, and a sacrifice sandwiched between 2 strikeouts.
Brittany Kickapoo glides into 2nd base after the Durant left fielder couldn't come up with a catch (above) in the 2nd inning. Ashton Friend doubled her in for Collinsville first run.
Friday against Durant in the 5A semifinals Gail Young was back in the pitching circle again following her Thursday victory over El Reno. Ravyn Murphy was on 2nd and Loren Meza was in right field.

Loren Meza was on first base after a 3rd inning single with Makayla Bowman at the plate.
Pitcher Gail Young and catcher Darci Chester got a swing and a miss on this pitch with Makayla Bowman at the shortstop position.
Center fielder Brittany Kickapoo with a catch for a 5th inning out and Durant leading 1-3.
Ravyn Murphy ended Durant's 5th inning with the bases loaded.
Pitcher Gail Young and catcher Darci Chester.
Durant's centerfielder nearly came up with a catch but it was ruled a trap and Rylee DeLozier gave Collinsville a lead off base runner in the 6th inning still trailing 1-3.
Ashton Friend came to bat in the 6th with Sydnie McCelland on 1st and Rylee DeLozier on 2nd and two out. Ashton sent the ball through the left side of the infield for her second RBI of the game.
Aston Friend's single has gotten past two Durant fielders and Rylee DeLozier is nearing 3rd base with a green light from Coach Mike Henry to score Collinsville's 2nd run to reach a 2-3 score.
Gail Young singled in the 6th inning (2 out and 2 on) to bring in the tying run.
Sydnie McCelland scored from second to tie the score at 3-3 on Young's RBI single in the 6th.
The Collinsville and Durant defenses kept the other from scoring in the 7th-8th-9th-10th innings.
Loren Meza with a circus catch in right field ended Durant's 7th inning with a runner on base.

Ravyn Murphy ended another bases loaded inning with this 9th inning catch. Durant had loaded the bases with only one out but the score remained 3-3.
The Collinsville dugout and rally caps were working hard but the Lady Cards couldn't come up with a run after the 6th inning. I show 13 Collinsville "pop ups" in my unofficial notes in their 33 at bats - a credit to Durant's pitcher. I also show Gail Young "popping up" Durant 6 times along with 12 strikeouts. -- Ted Wright
Durant started their half of the 11th with a double and 3 batters later a two-out RBI single gave them the lead at 3-4. Collinsville couldn't match the score in the home half of the 11th and their change of repeating was ended.
The following day, Pryor (our district rival who Collinsville had beaten twice this year and in last year's state final) crushed Durant 14-3 in the finals for the 2016 5A State Softball Title.
