Tahlequah Slipped Past Cards For State Advance
Thursday - Tahlequah Beat Glenpool 3-2 Thursday - Collinsville Beat Glenpool 5-1 Thursday - Collinsville Lost 0-6 To Tahlequah Friday - Collinsville Beat Tahlequah 10-0 Friday - Collinsville Lost 4-7 To Tahlequah
Glenpool had a potential scoring play turn into an easy out as the runner stumbled rounding third and instead of a close play at the plate, third baseman Christian Blevins (#10) tagged him out while still on his knees. Glenpool was eliminated Thursday following losses to Tahlequah and Collinsville.
Hayden Wichman (#2) pitched the Cardinals to a 5-1 win over Glenpool.
Pitcher Hayden Wichman (#2) knocked down an infield high hopper and threw to Chas Lord (#9) for a Glenpool out.
Branon Jordan (#12) was on the mound for the Cardinal's 2nd game Thursday which ended in a 0-6 loss to Tahlequah.

The JV baseball players kept the field in playing condition for the 5-game regional tournament.
Christian Blevins (#10) pitched a 2-hit complete game shutout over Tahlequah to give both teams 1 loss. Catcher Dylan Russell (#3) was named the District Player of the Year a few days after the Regional.
Zach Bess (#13) with a base hit in the 2nd game -vs- Tahlequah.
Cale Crutchfield (#11) started the final game -vs- Tahlequah Friday. Nick Sunday (#4) with a center field catch in the finals game -vs- Tahlequah.
The Tahlequah coach was protesting a call after Collinsville tagged out a runner at the plate (above). While that discussion was still in progress (below) another Tahlequah runner decided he would try to sneak home ...
... Collinsville catcher Dylan Russell tagged him out just in case (on a non-play) and in the aftermath the benches cleared briefly and the Tahlequah coach was tossed from the game.
Tony Connor (#17) came on in relief late in the finals game -vs- Tahlequah.
Tahlequah added some insurance runs late in the final game to advance to state while ending the Cardinals season.

The Collinsville Baseball Boys evened things up with Tahlequah (with a 10-0 complete game 2-hit shutout by Christian Blevins). They will meet again in the finals in just a few minutes. -- Ted 6:30pm Fri. May 6th -- (More on Tulsa World)

A three team double elimination bracket shall be played in the following manner:
Collinsville will be the team with the highest ranking and they will receive the bye.

First day of tournament: May 5 at Collinsville

Game 1 - Tahlequah plays Glenpool at 1:30
Game 2 - Loser Game 1 plays Collinsville 4:00
Game 3 - Winner Game 1 plays Collinsville 6:30

Second day of tournament: May 6 at Collinsville

Game 4 - If one team has one loss and one team has no losses, they play. 4:00
Game 5 - If necessary - 6:30
If all teams have one loss, Tahlequah plays Glenpool . 4:00
Game 5 - Winner Game 4 plays Collinsville 6:30
