FFA Creed Contest
On Tuesday March 1st, Kaylyn Branen (Left) and Julie Branen (right) participated in a creed contest hosted by the Collinsville FFA Alumni. Participants recite the FFA creed written by E.M. Tiffany in 1928. Then a panel of judges will ask questions to show their knowledge and understanding of the creed. Judges will then grade participants on quality, stage presence, appearance and general effect. They competed in a field of 29 FFA members from across the state. Kaylyn Branen placed third overall in the advanced creed speaking division. It was a great experience as they both prepare for the upcoming speech season that starts later on in March and April. --Kaylyn Branen 3/6/2016
