Matt "Mojo" Tedder and B. B. King
Ted

I wanted to share this photo with you and your readers. This is my son Matthew and the great B.B. King backstage in Fort Worth. Mr. King talked to Matt like a wise old grandfather and stressed to him the importance of doing well in school and getting a college education. After talking for about 15 minutes, Mr. King was kind enough to sign 2 autographs for him and wished him good luck with his guitar playing. Matthew has played guitar since he was 8 years old and is now 11. He has performed on stage with Bugs Henderson and John Nitzinger who was a 70’s era recording artist and former guitarist for Alice Cooper. Matthew continues to take lessons from John Nitzinger and Fort Worth blues guitar master Dennis Dullea. Matt plays in the Fort Worth area as Matt “Mojo” Tedder. I hope you enjoy the photo Ted.

Best wishes

Charles Tedder

Charles & I exchanged emails about a year ago about his son being included in a John Nitzinger concert. That story was from the Fort Worth Star Telegram. -- Ted 2007

Hello Ted Wright. Hope things are well with you. I wanted to tell you that I enjoy reading the web page and enjoy looking at the photos that bring back memories. Ted I think I have a bit of news that some of the readers might find entertaining. We have a retiring rock and roll star here in Fort Worth by the name of John Nitzinger. My son has taken guitar lessons from him and Mr. Nitzinger was impressed enough with him to include him in his farewell concert. Did you get the excert from the Star Telegram? That was the write up before the show and there is just a small bit about my son Matt but I am still very proud of him. Mr. Nitzinger and my son started with a shuffle in G and finished with a 1970’s Nitzinger hit called the “jelly roll blues”. Both songs received standing ovations.

Regards, Charles Tedder
