Cherokee Nation Councilwoman Cara Cowan Watts Appropriates $2,427 to Victory Cherokee Organization
Cherokee Nation Councilwoman Cara Cowan Watts appropriated $ 2,427 of Fiscal Year 2015 Tribal Council General Assistance funds to the Victory Cherokee Organization of Collinsville to support their monthly meetings, cultural programming and community outreach efforts. Councilwoman Cowan Watts and Councilman Lee Keener are term-limited out of office in August. Councilman-Elect Buel Anglen will take office on August 14, 2015 at 2pm during an inauguration ceremony in Tahlequah, OK.

VCO meets at their local community building near the Cherokee Nation Commodity Foods Program building every month on the second Tuesday at 6:30pm. A potluck meal is shared. The next monthly meeting is Tuesday, August 11. BINGO Night to benefit the non-profit organization and provide operational costs is Thursday, August 13, from 7pm to 9pm at the VCO Building at 1025 North 12th.
