August 4, 2015 The Miss Rodeo Oklahoma royalty will promote the state and the sport of rodeo. Spencer will represent Oklahoma in the Miss Rodeo America Pageant in December 2016 in Las Vegas, Nev. Spencer will graduate from a surgical technologist program in December. Her goal is to work in an outpatient surgery center or with a plastic surgeon. Her hobbies include reading, riding horses, traveling, mentoring youth and volunteering. Her favorite philanthropies are Feed America, Special Olympics and the campaign Spread the Word to End the Word. As for her involvement in rodeo, Spencer knows the sportsmanship and dedication that cowboys and cowgirls have to their western way of life. She said, Its important to me to gather others into our big rodeo, family as they become forever fans. McKee is a fourth-generation rodeo contestant. She is an active member of the Oklahoma Union FFA chapter. She also is a member of the student council, a class officer and varsity cheerleader. In her free time, she enjoys helping on her familys ranch, barrel racing and traveling to rodeos. Horine enjoys competing in rodeos and play days. She admits her favorite chore is feeding bottle calves on her familys land. She is an active 4-H member and honor roll student. The Miss Rodeo Oklahoma
Pageant is conducted by the Oklahoma Rodeo Pageants Council. The nonprofit
is managed completely through volunteer support for the purpose of providing
opportunities for the young women of Oklahoma to maximize their educational
potential while promoting the state through the sport of rodeo. Emcees
for the pageant coronation were Miss Rodeo America 2015 Lauren Heaton
and professional rodeo announcer Matt West. |
