The CHS Basketball Ladies came up on the short end of a tight low scoring game with a 28-31 loss to Deer Creek Thursday at Owasso. They will have one more shot for a state ticket Saturday 1:30 against the Skiatook-Memorial winner. Skiatook was up 10-5 after 1 quarter Thursday. -- Photos later -- Ted 8:55 pm Thursday 3/6/2014

The CHS Basketball Ladies led by 1 at half and trailed by 1 as the 4th quarter began. They then found themselves down 19-27 with 5 and a half minutes left after (defending State Champs) Edmond Deer Creek started the 4th with a 0-7 run. Collinsville scrapped back and had a shot in the closing seconds that could have tied the score.
Skiatook beat Memorial in double OT (56-50) Thursday in the 2nd game ... so Collinsville will play Skiatook's girls Saturday (1:30 at Owasso) in an elimination game.
Mallory Vaughn had 8 of the Lady Cards 13 first half points and the Cardinal defense held Deer Creek to just 12 in the first half.
