Stories from the Rocking Chair at the Collinsville Library

Sally Loveland (left) and Jack (Paws) and Diane Schultz (TCCL).

We had a special visitor during Stories from the Rocking Chair at the Collinsville Library. Paws for Reading dog Jack, and his handler Sally Loveland, surprised the children by participating in story time and enjoying stories about “Puppy Love” in celebration of Valentine’s Day. As Diane Schultz read to the children, they gave Jack lots of love. The children made a heart craft and then enjoyed cookies delivered by Jack and Sally.

Please join us every Tuesdays from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. for stories, songs, crafts and more. This program is for newborns to 4-years-olds and their caregivers. For more information, please call (918) 549-7528. Paws for Reading is sponsored by the Tulsa Library Trust.

OHP ADVISES CAUTION FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF INCLEMENT WEATHER AND ROAD CONDITIONS For Feb. 20th (Wednesday)
*****For Immediate Release*****(Tulsa, Ok.)

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol advises motorists to use caution during the morning commute Wednesday. Forecasters are calling for the possibility of a mix of winter weather which may include freezing rain, sleet and snow. There is a winter weather advisory throughout northern Oklahoma including Washington, Pawnee, Osage, Tulsa and Creek counties.

Temperatures are expected to hover in the low to mid 30's throughout the morning. Motorists should pay special attention to bridges and overpasses which may become slick and hazardous due to anticipated weather conditions.

Citizens are encouraged to use caution and check current weather and road conditions prior to planning their morning travels. Anticipate poor road conditions, allow extra time for the possibility of weather related traffic conditions and double travel distances between vehicles in the event of slick roadways.

Motorists may call *55 on their cellular phone for emergency roadside assistance.
