First Snow Day
No School Friday
Temperatures Expected To Stay Below Freezing For A Week
About 3 Inches Of Snow Here
The sled hill in Collinsville City Park was busy in this photo about 1pm Friday with a wide range of sled types.
We may have had a few previous trace snows (and a bit of ice before the Nov. 22nd playoff football game) but I'm declaring this the "First Snow" for the 2013-14 winter season. It is always hard to estimate, but I'd say we had about 3 inches of snow Thursday evening (Dec. 5th) and Friday morning (Dec. 6th). -- Ted Wright

Sorry ... I got distracted with chores and senior pages Friday ... I'm back to working on the snow page now -- 10am Saturday Dec. 7th -- & it's about 12 degrees now ... I'm estimating we got about 3 inches of snow (& no ice) for those not living here.

Note: Collinsville fortunately missed out on significant ice which has caused damage in the south east corner of Oklahoma.

The JH wrestling tournament at Sands Springs has been canceled. -- Jim Riley 12/5/2013 Due to the inclement weather the Cardinal Boys Basketball team will not be participating in the Cleveland BB Tournament. -- Jim Riley 12/5/2013
