Collinsville's First 2005 Snow
Big wet snow flakes started falling before noon Friday and were sticking pretty well by about 1pm. This is Collinsville's first snow of the year with January 2005 temperatures bouncing almost daily between freezing in the teens to basking in the 70s.

Collinsville Mystery Photo #2

Hint: It is NOT at the old City Hall / Fire Station.
Just for fun now ... email wrightted@aol.com if you know where the photo above was taken in Collinsville, Oklahoma. (If some business or organization would like to sponsor a similar contest with prizes ... contact Ted)
The location for Mystery Photo #1 was the Chamber's sign in front of Collinsville High School:

Doug Wakefield & Susan Catlett were first to email that correct location.

Bonus Mystery Photo -- This photo was taken at the Austin, Texas, airport. The airport's hugh mural was painted by the son of a 1936 Collinsville High School graduate. Unless you are a good detective, I'd only expect a family member to identify the painter (my cousin who lives in Austin) and/or the CHS grad (my uncle).

Construction will be slowed a bit by today's snow (the middle school above and City Hall below).
The snow stopped before 3pm Friday ... in time for the kids to play in city park after they got out of school. I'd estimate about an 1 1/2 inches of snow total
