Rachel Young 1st In Law Day Contest
Hi Ted!
If you could, we would really appreciate you posting this news about our daughter, Rachel Young. She’s an 8th grader at CMS. She recently placed first in the Oklahoma Bar Association Law Day Contest with her visual arts entry. We’re so proud of her!!! Out of 1400 entries, only 20 kids placed first and 20 kids placed second. The theme was, “No Courts, No Justice, No Freedom”. On March 9th, she went to a recognition ceremony at the Oklahoma Supreme Court in OKC. A portion of the presentation will be shown on the OBA’s Ask a Lawyer TV show, which will air on OETA on April 26th at 7 p.m. The attached picture is of her with Chief Justice Steven Taylor, the highest-ranking legal official in Oklahoma.

Thank you,
Russell & Mary Young

New Asphalt on Oak Street
I'm not sure of the scope of the effort but noticed this new asphalt overlay on Oak Street between 12th & 13th Wednesday and a downtown alley today. -- Ted 3/16/2012

Future Signal Lights At 19th Street
Progress on the S-Curve Re-Alignment / Street Widening project has been making painfully slow (in my opinion) progress. There was a visible sign late this week that a 19th Street intersection would someday reconnect to the new Broadway/Main east/west roadway. -- Ted 3/16/2012
