Dr. Susan Babbitt presided over the grand opening of the "Key Ingredients" Smithsonian Exhibit at the Library Saturday June 16th. She and her committee have worked over two years to make this all possible in Collinsville.
There's More ... Monday June 18 -- 6:30 p.m.

Our opening day was fantastic and now on to another Key Ingredient Program.

Tonight, Monday June 18 at 6:30 we have a cooking demonstration from Kyndall Pett from Pampered Chef. She is not selling Pampered Chef. She is showing all the new and modern ways of preparing dinner and dessert....many of our programs will focus on the old ways of cooking from 1900 to now and this will focus on how many of us prepare dinner today... Please join us for the demonstration. Also a great chance to view the Key Ingredients Exhibit.

This is the only photo I'm going to use online of the actual "Key Ingredients" display ... so you'll need to visit the Collinsville Library before August 3rd to see for yourself. The other photos on this page are from the grand opening carnival-type atmosphere outside the Library here June 16th. -- Ted
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
This impressive kettle cooking demonstration on the Library grounds (during the grand opening only) is not a part of the 6-week Smithsonian exhibit in the Library basement. I believe they are Teresa Brown and Patty Hudson. -- Ted
Tay Truitt sang "Oklahoma" (with Miss Collinsville Teen, Summer Stoltz in the background).
Boynton and the Boys provided musical entertainment.
A very large therapy dog!
Several dancers from Attitudes Dance Studio performed Saturday after the grand opening.
