Correction:
Cardinal Wrestling Team Won Mid American Nationals The Collinsville Wrestling team got word on Wednesday that there were mistakes made in the official scoring of the tournament and the Cardinals were the winners of the Mid American Nationals hosted by Union High School. Union officials notified Cardinal Wrestling Coach Weston Harding just days after his team had won the Kansas City Stampede. That means the Collinsville Wrestlers have won 2 National level tournaments in the first two weeks of the season. This is great news for our wrestling program. It could push the Cardinals into the top 20 in the national ranking occording to USA Wrestling Mag. They were previously ranked 24. Its good to be a Cardinal. -- Jim Riley 12/20/2012 |
