T.J.Johnson (#6) picked up a first down at Catoosa's 48 yard line in the Cards first possession.
Lost Opportunities: Carter Rasmussen (#85) was open behind the Catoosa defense but Derek Iannapollo's long pass was just beyond his reach in the first possession.
In Catoosa's first possession (below) two Cards just missed the runner in the back field and he scampered scampered all the way to Collinsville's 39 yard line setting up their first score.
Collinsville started their second possession near mid-field after Shane Goossen returned the Catoosa kickoff to the 35 and had penalty yardage added to the Collinsville 47. On the next play (above) this Derek Iannapollo (#10) pass was intercepted near the sideline at Catoosa's 45.
Collinsville defenders knocked this pass away in the endzone forcing a 4th & 9th and Catoosa's kicked a field goal to end their 2nd possession at 1:27 in the first quarter and a 0-10 score.
Conner Crutchfield (#11) with blocking from T.J. Johnson (#6) gained a first down at the Card's 42 on the 3rd possession near the end of the 1st quarter.
Keenan Hamilton (#20) recovered a Catoosa fumble near mid-field early in the 2nd quarter.
Shane Goossen (#21) got near the Catoosa 20 yard line with just 1.7 seconds left (after a Derek Iannapollo spike). Ken Lor tried a field goal as time expired in the first half but it missed leaving the score 0-16.
