Hannah's Helping Hands, Inc. — Our Mission
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial assistance to families with children battling cancer. Many families need help with the most basic needs for their families during this fight for their child’s life. Some must leave work for months and even years to care for their sick child and the financial loss can be devastating. Our goal is to help as many families being treated locally as possible. We help with basic needs such as gas & food cards, groceries, wigs, utility payments, prescriptions, medical co-payments, rent/housing as well as other expenses. Our referrals come from doctors, nurses and staff at a local children’s hospital in Tulsa as well as our local communities.

HRC Club October Meeting
Members of the Collinsville Home Representative Club met October 4, 2011 at the Library. A program on conservation was given by Linda Pfeffer, entitled "The Conservative Knitter - Green Purls and Silk Purses," which detailed new yarns created from sustainable plant products, and how recycling can be a part of the knitting world.

Pins representing 25 years (or more!) of GFWC membership were presented to Marsha Nachtigall, Margaret Waldorf, Susan Pratt, Linda Vickers, Carolyn Brinkley, Alberta Bonebrake, Jeanie Barnes, Bobbie Loveless, Linda Pfeffer, and Anita Mitchell.

Members are working on fund-raising plans , which will include a huge garage sale on October 28.

S-Curve Project Active on West End Again

The top photo (Saturday, facing east towards downtown) shows east-bound Main Street traffic now in the new lane (added several months ago). The photos to the right and below, are both facing west where west-bound Main traffic was detoured to Broadway starting Thursday. I don't know the precise plan, but understand some drainage work at 14th & 15th will be done (~2 weeks) before the west-bound traffic is returned to Main. -- Ted Wright (10/9/2011)

Junior High CARDINAL FOOTBAL Update 10-7-2011

Rolling like a Machine, the 7th and 8th grade Collinsville Cardinals captured the Pryor Tigers, Thursday night in a Metro Lakes Conference contest. Both games the Cardinal offense controlled the line of scrimmage with the outstanding blocking by the O-Line. The great effort of the Collinsville running backs pounded the Tiger defense. The air assult was a combination of quarterback/receiver timing and precession. And let’s don’t forget the great Defense the Cardinals put together. The swarming D-Line, blitzing linebackers, and punishing secondary, was too much for the Pryor Tigers to overcome.
Cardinals Win!!
7th grade, 26-6 (5-0)
8th grade, 32-8 (4-1)
Both teams continue their quest for a Metro Lakes Conference Title.
.
In the 9th grade game, both teams traded scores through out the contest. The running game of the Tigers and the aerial assult of the Cardinals made for an exciting contest. With just minutes to go in the game the Tigers went ahead and held on to win 27-21.

Our next opponent is the Skiatook Bulldogs. Games begin @ 5:00 at Sallee Field, next Thursday. Then we conclude our season on a Tuesday night, October, 25th.There will no Jr. High games the week of Fall Break.
