The portion of the new S-Curve west of 19th had fabric and gravel added in the past week or so. Now the portion east of 19th has the same process in the works. Gravel was being unloaded today starting at 17th with fabric installation still in progress closer to 19th. -- Ted 10/4/2011
Closures On Main West Bound Start Oct. 5th
(Detour at 13th)

As I mentioned in the commission meeting last evening, the Paragon road crew will be closing down a portion of main street in order to install two 8’ manholes and 18” concrete storm water pipe. East bound traffic will be continuous along highway 20 however west bound traffic will be detoured at 13th Street. The area of construction will be between 14th and 15th street.

Whereas there will be no westbound through traffic allowed after 13th street, Paragon as stated that customer vehicles will be allowed to access the street parking between 13th and 14th.

Paragon contacted the city this afternoon stating that the closure will take place tomorrow – (10-05-11) exact time of day is undetermined.

Construction in this area is expected to last two weeks. We appreciate the continued patience and understanding of our citizens.

Thank you,
