Ravyn Murphy (#5) started the 1st inning with this single and then stole second and scored on two passed balls.
Rylee DeLozier (#15) tried to stretch for an extra base but was tagged out before reaching 3rd early in the game.

The water jug was kept busy as the game was played in 100+ degrees heat.

The JiHi team had been in the stands for the first game of the Varsity's Softball Festival Friday. The younger squad will have their own festival Monday Aug. 22 starting at 9am.
The Jr. High softball team played in the Collinsville Festival on Monday. They played 4 back to back games in the rain and finished with a record of 2 wins,1 tie and 1 loss. The 1st game of the festival was with Jenks and ended in an 11 to 11 tie. The 2nd game was against Oologah which they won 9 to 2. They had a tough game against Owasso but fell short and lost 7 to 8. They then beat Skiatook 6 to 4 for the last game of the festival. The girls will play in the Bixby tournament this Friday and Saturday and will play Muskogee, Haskell, Glenpool and Union in pool play before the bracket game on Sat. afternoon. -- Missy DeLozier 8/24/2011
