Library Parking Construction
Dirt work continued this week on the new parking lot under construction east of the Library.
Softball In City Park
I walked to the park Saturday to check on the pool destruction and was surprised to see a softball game in progress in the dead of winter. The U16 Collinsville Sluggers were apparently taking advantage of the near 50 degree afternoon temperatures. The City Commission meeting (Monday March 1st 7pm) has improvements to the city park softball field on the agenda. -- Ted
Prom 2010 Style Show Extravangza -- Thursday March 4th
The Collinsville Chamber of Commerce will be presenting a pre-prom style show Thursday with with styles and trends provided by Collinsville area merchants. The event will take place Thursday March 4, 2010 (7pm) at Collinsville High School. Tickets are $3 at the door. The models will be students from Collinsville and Oologah High School. Bill Johnston provided the photos above of a few of the models trying out dresses from All Dolled Up. They are Beth Ruddle, Brandi Green, Kylee Cole and Lacie Cook. A few athletic coaches will also be "sporting" the latest in prom tuxedos. For more information contact Marilyn Hardacre (371-1400) or the Chamber of Commerce (371-4703).

The actual prom: The Junior/Senior Prom will be Sat. April 10th from 8:30 to 11:30pm at the Tulsa Zoo event center. Tickets will go on sale after Spring Break for the students and their guests for $18 each. More details to follow!
