Collinsville's best field position occurred in the first quarter after their opening kickoff pinned Jay at the 5. After a punt Collinsville started at the Jay 41 and reached the 20 before turning the ball over on downs.
The Collinsville defense held Jay scoreless in the first half. This was a first quarter pass rush by Patrick Moss (#65) and Cody Lander (#10).
Collinsville had a nice sized crowd that traveled to Jay for Thursday night football during school fall break.
This was the first (of 4) Jay interceptions that stifled the Cardinal offense all evening. This one came at 2:51 in the 1st quarter near Jay's 20 and was returned out to the 35 on Collinsville's 2nd possession.
Cardinal Defense
Steven Majike (#36) recovered this Jay fumble with Jay near the Cardinal 20 yard line after blocking a Cardinal punt early in the 2nd quarter.
This Shane Douglas (#9) pass to Josh Pennington took the Cardinals from their own 13 out to the 35 in the 2nd quarter.
This 2nd & 8 Collinsville offensive play started at the Cards 37 with 7:39 left in the first half. They reached the 47 before punting Jay back to their own 12 with 5:30 left.

Merin Oakley (#30) with just a brief look at open field late in the 2nd quarter.
A Jay interception at Collinsville's 40 with 1:23 left before half set up this Jay pass attempt into the endzone with just under a minute left. Joe Keith (#28) and Jamaro Oakley (#31) forced an incompletion. Jay tried a field goal on 4th and 27 which was short with 21 seconds left in the scoreless 1st half.
