Collinsville Education Foundation Grants Delivered to Collinsville Teachers
I had a list of the teachers receiving CEF grants Oct. 24 along with the photos submitted by Jeannie Barnes ... But can't find it anywhere tonight so check back later for an update. These photo show are just a few of the teachers along with CEF trustees. -- Ted 11/6/2008
Sheryl Witten reported the total of the grants awarded was ~$16,823.

Cherokee Language Bowl
Collinsville Indian Education Program had Cherokee Language Teams from Wilson, Herald, Middle School and High School participate in the recent Cherokee Language Bowl held in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

We are so proud of all the students that participated on the teams and all the students participating in weekly after school classes.

All the teams are invited to a banquet in their honor to receive their monetary awards in March of 2009.
The Wilson Elementary Team members are Yona Tripp, Emma Sampley, Dax Ogden, Natalie Morrison, and Emily Downing. This team placed third in their division. Their teacher is Kathy Sampley.
The Herald Elementary Team members are Faith Sampley, Ellen Thomas, Quannee Tripp, Ryan LeCrone and Cade Ogden. This team place second in their division.
The Middle School Team members are Baylee Stites, Xena Hedges, Zane Scullawl, Matthew Warford and Justin O'Banion. This team placed second in their division.
The High School Team members are Blake Stites, Austin Davis, Kim O'Banion, Victoria Collier and Alyssa Fields. This team placed fourth in their division. Alice Wilder is the teacher for Herald, Middle and High School Teams.
