To The Citizens of District 11
On, Monday, February 4, 2008. the state legislature convenes at the Capitol in Oklahoma City. Our state constitution requires your elected representatives and senators to be in session from the first Monday in February to the last Friday of May for a total of 90 days.

I predict a very active legislative session in which we try to address a broad set of issues. I will be asked to vote on legislation that may simply be a proclamation of support or recognize a great accomplishment of an outstanding Oklahoman. More importantly, I will be voting on significant policies that will impact our state and its future.

Two beliefs are always in front of me when I evaluate legislation. First, the money in our state government is your money, and I will strive to ensure your tax dollars are spent wisely and effectively. Second, I will always ask myself if the legislation is beneficial to the people of District 11 and our great State.

Throughout the session please to not hesitate to contact me about the issues that will be debated and eventually voted upon. Your thoughts and opinions on these State issues are important to me as your representative. We might not always agree, but it is part of my responsibility to listen and hear all points of view.

I told you when I ran for office I would be dedicated and accountable to the citizens of District 11. As I begin my second year, I will continue to carry out this pledge everyday as I represent you in State Government. It is a privilege to serve you.

Sincerely,
Earl Sears
State Representative District 11

Will Boyer and Josh ? toured the Newspaper Museum In Collinsville Monday Jan. 28, 2008. They leaned some Collinsville and newspaper history and did a little printing. Looks like its time for me to update the type from the 2007 Oklahoma Centennial to the current 2008 date. -- Ted
