"Letter To The Editor"

Ted Wright Note: Having been in a similar situation in the past (living outside the city limits but paying for city water and having a business in town using all city utilities) I also felt unrepresented as I was unable to vote in any city elections. That included voting for Mayor or any commissioner (who set rates for city utilities). I moved inside the city limits in 2004 so at least have a vote now but have watched as city utility rates (& fees) continue to increase significantly.

I'm not sure if the Kerr's and Lenaburg's are served by the same water line, but have a 1959 example below of folks outside the old city limits building their own water line (on 19th Street past 156th). -- Ted

Another Ted Wright Note:
The city quickly resolved the "monster water bill" I received in 2006.
