It was over 4 years ago when I first saw a Halophane street light which was was demo'd in the meeting room at the Collinsville Police Department building. The group meeting included the city electrical department and the citizens group tasked with recommending how Collinsville should spend it's Vision 2025 beautification funds. The glass fixture has special prisims directing some light to the street (Highway 20 down Main) and some on the sidewalk and building fronts. -- Ted Wright
