Bruce
McGlamery and Susan Bordwine McGlamery (Class of ’69) Bruce and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary last January. But we still act like silly teenagers in love! Bruce and I moved to Florida in 1986 to start a new business in the construction industry. We have two daughters; one of which is an attorney for TVA in Knoxville, and the other is a stay at home mom of 3 very active and terrific boys. We have the honor of having a beautiful step-granddaughter, and we love spoiling those 3 boys (ages 10, 6, and 18 months). Bruce and I have worked together for many years building our Construction Consulting Business. I finally got to retire last year when Bruce merged his company with a large firm in Orlando. He is now co-owner and President of Willis Construction Consulting Company. It has grown to be one of the largest consulting firms in Florida. Bruce’s projects take him all over the country. He has a large project in Hawaii and I was lucky enough to go along with him on one of his trips there. I got to play a lot while he worked!! He now has a huge project starting in Los Vegas and will be traveling there frequently so I’m hoping to hop on one of his flights and maybe win a penny slot machine!! We have a boat on the nearby St. John’s River, and love to spend our time cruising the back waters of Florida and seeing the old untouched beauty. When we are given the chance we anchor out in a quiet cove and spend a few days watching the gators and birds and feel the peace around us. That is how we find our sanity again. (4/22/2010) | |
