Exhibition in this department is limited to REGISTERED 4-H and Cloverbud members only.

The 4-H member should enter the class that matches his/her age on January 1 of current year and follow guidelines in 4-H manuals.

Each 4-H member is limited to a total of 20 items. Cloverbuds are limited to 5 items each.

Due to space, sections 303 and 323 have limits on number of entries.

All exhibits must be entered Thursday August 23, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m..

Exhibits will be released Saturday August 25, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Ribbons will be awarded first through third places. Premium will be paid to first only.

Children's Pet Fair & Dog Show
For All Children age 5-18

GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS

1.Exhibitor must submit written proof (signed by a veterinarian) of vaccinations within the last 12 months applicable to type of animal.

2. NO LIVESTOCK! Miniature Hobby animals permitted in Pet Fair.

3. If exhibitor is a 4-H or FFA member they should wear a
t-shirt, armband, or jacket of the organization they represent.

4. Pets must be collared, leashed or caged at all times. Must bring own cage or crate to hold animal.

5. Dogs over 6 months of age must compete in Dog Show, dogs under 6 months must compete in the Pet Fair.

6. In Dog Show grooming classes, dogs must be groomed by the exhibitor.

7. The Tri-County Fair Board reserves the right to interpret these rules and regulations and arbitrarily settle questions arising in connection with this contest as held under the management of those responsible.

8. Judge's decisions are final.

Ribbons will be awarded in all classes.
Trophy will be awarded to Best of Show in Dog Show.

Animal Adoption Agencies will have pets looking for homes
Each agency will have adoption fees due at time of adoption.

Local Pet Care Businesses will have tables set up
for advertising various items associated with pets.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction
all proceeds going to benefit the
Collinsville Animal Shelter.

JUNIOR LIVESTOCK RULES
and REGULATIONS

1. Only registered 4-H and FFA members may show animals.
2. In all cases, exhibitor must furnish, when required, registration papers in that individual's name for all animals they are exhibiting. All market animals must pass breed type committee.
3. Exhibitor must show their own animal unless they have written permission from the show Superintendent.
4. Exhibitor must furnish own feed, bedding (shavings only, no straw) and water containers.
5. Exhibitor must prepare their own animal for the show ring. No professional fitting on the day of the show.
6. Exhibitors will be required to keep their stalls in an orderly fashion and accessible to visitors. Exhibitors are required to move bedding to the center of the aisle prior to departure. All waste manure is to be piled outside the barns.
7. To be considered for Showmanship, exhibitors MUST display the décor of their organization
8. No gambling or betting permitted.
9. All property of every character entered for competition or any other purpose, or being anywhere in the fairgrounds, shall be under the control of the Fair Board. In no case shall the Fair Board be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury of any character to any such property while under their control, or at any time or place.
10. The Tri-County Fair Board reserves the right to interpret these rules and regulations and to arbitrarily settle all questions or disputes arising in connection with the Tri-County Fair to be held under the management of this Board.
11. Livestock entry fees will be divided approximately as follows: 10% to judge, 20% to grand and reserve champion, 70% to top 3 of class.
12. No animals allowed on the grounds prior to 6:00 a.m. the day of the show.
13. Under no circumstances will any drug or drugs be administered to animals while at the Tri-County Fair.
14. Trailers will be parked in designated areas only.
15. All protests must be made in writing and accompanied by a deposit of $10 cash. Deposit will be forfeited if protest is not sustained. The said protest must state plainly the cause of the complaint and must be filed with the Department Superintendents within 30 minutes after the award is made and ribbon is placed.

Sheep must be accompanied by an official health certificate. The certificate must show the animal to be free from any infections, contagions or communicable disease and a statement indicating the animal has been inspected and found to be free of scabies and other external parasites.
Fans may be hung over pen and must be removed after show.
No weight limit, may be either wether or ewe.
Must have all lamb teeth, no signs of permanent teeth.
Minimum of 3 animals to make a class. If less than 3 must show with Crossbreeds.
Animals may be dismissed due to contagious diseases at discretion of Show Superintendent.

Does must have milk teeth, withers will not be mouthed.
No registration papers are required for the doe show.
Doe kids and wethers will be shown by weight.
Goats may arrive earlier than weigh-in times, but pens are reserved for sheep show prior to noon on Goat Show day.

Heifers must have been born on or after January 1, 2006
Heifers must be accompanied by an official registration certificate.
Steers will be randomly mouthed at the time of weigh in and must have all baby teeth. Prospect steers 999 lbs and below. Progress steers 1000 lbs and above.
No generators allowed in barn at any time.
Chutes and fans will be allowed but number and placement will be at the discretion of the Beef Superintendent.
Health papers are not required for the Beef Show.
All bedding must be moved to the center of the aisle prior to departure of the grounds.
Early arrivals can be arranged by contacting the Beef Superintendent.
Herefords polled or horned will show together.
