| Johnny Bristol (above) hauled in this pass from Tyler Whitaker who had received a pitch back from the runner. The play covered from about the Card's 25 to Grove's 42 yard line with about six and a half minutes left in the game and the Cards trailing 0-6. Two Zeb Yeager rushes then took the ball to Grove's 20 yard line with just over 5 minutes remaining. The drive stalled (including a sack back to the 30) and the Cards faced a fourth and 17 from the 30 with with 4:26 left. That 4th down attempt is shown below, with the pass tipped up and then missed by Ricky Rimpley near the 5 yard line. Grove took over on their 30 yard line with 4:19 remaining. |

| After two short gains, including the Cards stop of Grove's #6 (above), Grove faced a 3rd and 7 from their 33 with 3:10 remaining. The Cards hopes of forcing a punt were dashed on the next play as #6 broke free on a 67 yard run (below) for Grove's second TD with 2:45 left in the game. Their two point attempt was successful and the Cards were down by 14. |
