Education students at Cameron University/RSU accepted into Kappa Delta Pi education honor society

Five students from the Cameron University education programs at Rogers State University have been accepted into Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in education. Selection as a member of Kappa Delta Pi requires high academic achievement, a commitment to education as a career, and a professional attitude that assures steady growth in the profession. Only those who have exhibited the ideals of scholarship, integrity in service, and commitment to excellence in teaching and its allied professions are granted membership.

CU/RSU students who are now members of Kappa Delta Pi, listed by hometown, are:

Bartlesville: Victoria BeDoe

Collinsville: Cheryl MacGregor

Hobbs, N.M.: Amy Vejil

Owasso: Lindsay O'Rourke

Pryor: Lori Gonzales

Cameron University, located in Lawton, offers two degree programs in a joint venture with Rogers State University: a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education. RSU offers the first two years of each program, with students earning associate degrees. Cameron provides the education curriculum and selected discipline courses on the Claremore campus and awards baccalaureate degrees.
