Larry Shafer Wins Mayor's Race
Two Former City Commissioners Vied For Position
Larry Shafer won a narrow 298-289 victory over Jerry Garrett in the race for Collinsville's Mayor Feb. 11, 2020. Shafer will take over the post currently held by Bud York in May. Garrett lost another close race (270-272) to York for the Mayor's position in April 2018.
Local voters will next decide a presidential primary March 3rd and then a school board race April 7th.
