2018 Homecoming Parade Information -- from Missy DeLozier 9/4/2018

The homecoming parade will be Thursday Sept 27th at 6:30 p.m. Line-up will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the high school. Do not bring your vehicle/float to the HS before 3:30 p.m. We need to have time to clear all HS student's and faculty's vehicles from the parking lot before we start lining up floats. All parade participants must line up at the HS with the exception of the band as they will enter the parade from 14th street. When you get to the parade line-up please don't leave any float unattended until you have been told where to park. All vehicles/floats participating in the parade need to pull forward as far as they can in the line-up. There will be no specific order with the exception of the band and the royalty. If you want to be next to a specific group then you need to arrive at the same time. It will not be possible to save a place in line for anyone. Vehicles not driving in the parade will need to parked in a parking space in the HS parking lot but not in any space adjacent to the building. The road leading to the baseball/softball fields just before the bus barn will be blocked by the floats lining up so don't plan on meeting your group or parking your vehicle back in that area.

As always, no 4-wheelers, go-carts, motorcycles, etc. will be allowed. All drivers must be over the age of 21. Floats will need to have adults riding on them supervising the children. Candy may be gently tossed to spectators from the floats. No one will be allowed to walk in the parade with the exception of the band. All participants must be riding in a vehicle or on a float. Participants will exit the HS parking lot in line at approximately 6:20 p.m. and will travel east to 14th and Main where the parade will officially begin. It will end at 7th street. The parade is a school sponsored activity so any misbehavior could result in disciplinary actions by the school and/or local law enforcement.

To enter a float in the parade you must fill out and submit the following Google form. Make sure only one person serving as the representative for your group/organization/team etc. fills out the form. The deadline to submit the form will be at 12:00 noon on the day of the parade.
