This past Saturday the Boy’s & Girl’s Cross Country Teams hosted their first home meet since 2013. I wanted to offer up some personal thoughts on what I felt was a very successful first meet. First, our course got nothing but great reviews. I had several runners from other schools rave about how neat of a course it was. This was made possible by numerous individuals who volunteered their equipment, money, and time on numerous days to landscape a course that was both safe and unique. Most importantly, our kids got the opportunity to run in front of people that don’t normally come to cross country meets including friends, teachers, and family. Obviously, there were adjustments and tweaks that need to be made, but we felt overall, it was a great starting point.
Coach Myers, Goodwin, and I would like to send out a special thanks to Dodge & Michelle Wilson, Jamie Wilson, Jim Oslin, Justin Branen, the Thetfords, the Wedlakes, Doug Smith, Glenn Rush, and all the volunteers who helped make this meet possible. Thank You!
